Halloween is a special time of year. A time for people to dress up as their alter egos (check out some Halloween costumes we found around our office today) – be they scary, funny, cute or…. well…inappropriate. It’s also a time for memories – costumes of years past, childrens songs, pumpkin carvings, pumpkin soup, pumpkin seeds, pumpkin bread, pumpkin spice lattes… you get it. Lots of pumpkin things.
Pumpkins inspire us
All this pumpkin talk got us thinking about that Halloween pumpkin poem about the five little pumpkins. You know…
Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate, the first one said, “oh my it’s getting late…”
This of course inspired us to write our own little halloween poem. Take a look….
5 Little Kitchens
Five little kitchens
On the showroom floor
All of them with traits
You simply adore.
The first one’s nice
With counters of granite
They’re strong and pretty
The best ones on the planet.
The second has appliances
Upgraded and steel
A big double oven
For that large turkey meal.
The third one’s great
Wooden floors and all
It’s got beautiful light cabinets
Secured along the wall
The forth one’s organized
With roll out shelves and racks
But the concrete countertop
Will need an occasional wax
Kitchen number five
Has an island in the middle
It’s got a large apron sink
And maintenance is little
Now since it’s Halloween
This poem’s supposed to be scary
So we’re throwing in a twist
In case you’re growing wary.
So, in came a witch
And out went the lights
And the 5 little kitchens
Disappeared into the night.
Happy Halloween to all of our readers.
